What Is Your Home?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

I have been wondering about this question a lot.What is home? 

Is it a place?person?feeling? 

I thought that it is a blend of harmonized feelings that could never be expressed in words;however,the answer was not enough.Home is just far beyond than that.

Instead of thinking alone,I decided to ask people around me what are their homes and these were the answers:


 "I guess home is just two arms wrapped around you when you're at your worst."

 "Safety, freedom, comfort"


 "home is a place where you feel peace , support , relaxation , safety and just being yourself a place where there is no rules or pain , you just do whatever you do , it doesn't have to be a place actually it may be a person."


" A place or state that i feel comfortable​ while being the real me"

 "بورسعيد....اولادى....اصحابى....بيتى"

"It is the place where you find safety, warmness, good memories, and most important thing the people you mostly love"

"It doesn't actually have to be a place it may be a person where u find safety,freedom,comfort,relaxation etc.."

"Its narrower sense is one's house, whereas its wider sense refers to one's country.Both have the same implications mentioned above at different scales."

It doesn't have to be your birth city, it just has to be a place where you feel loved"

"Home isn't necessarily a place. or even a person. home can be found in fractures. in that one book you can read over and over again and always feel the same warm feeling you felt the first time you picked it up. it can be found in that one melody that never fails to send chills down your spine every time you listen to it. it can be found in the smell of freshly baked goods or the smell of the earth after it's rained. it can even be found in a small gesture; a hug or a smile from someone you cherish. home is a feeling and it is often felt in the least expected moments. to me, home is a nostalgic place so i often seek it in little things."

Home isn't a place, it can be found in anyone, in anything.
It can be found in a simple memory or even a certain dish or smell."

"' وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ' For me home is the soul which will be my 'سكن' as mentioned by the Ayah above. Someone who knows the deep routes to my heart and understands every feeling I encounter."

And where you're body fits in the most and where you always feel like you're part of something without showing effort or asking to
Home is when you're mind keep asking you to not be worried anymore everything is done by now"

"Home to me means just seeing my mother there sitting on the couch asking me how was my day and hugging my mother that is my home"

"Home is where you feel comfortable &safe, its where you can find you're loved ones. It maybe a person, house, street or a city as long as you feel that you belong to that place."
